Jalpaiguri, 01st September: Sensation prevailed after a burglary was reported at the warehouse adjacent to Shilpa Samiti para near Beguntari in Jalpaiguri’s Ward No. 18.
Reportedly, the godown was closed on Monday due to the statewide lockdown. The matter came to light after the godown reopened on Tuesday morning.
The miscreants apparently broke into the godown through the window situated in the back. Several CCTV cameras were also found broken. The thieves broke the lockers inside the warehouse and fled away with lakhs of rupees.
A complaint has already been lodged at the police station. Police have launched an investigation into the whole incident.
