Siliguri, 17th March: After a major fire destroyed 7 shops and 2 warehouses in Siliguri’s Burdwan Road on Wednesday morning, the leaders of several political parties as well as the candidates for the upcoming assembly election reached the spot and assured to help the traders.
Minister Goutam Deb, District Trinamool President Ranjan Sarkar, BJP District President Praveen Agarwal, BJP leaders Shankar Ghosh, Khushboo Mittal, and left leader Ashok Bhattacharya visited the spot and interacted with the traders.
After the situation normalized to some extent, the party leaders left for election campaigning.
