Chopra, 26th May: An elderly man who went missing from Uttar Pradesh five months ago returned home under the joint initiative of BSF and police. The man has been identified as Ramjit Giri (65), a resident of the Bariarpur police station area of Bhagru district in Uttar Pradesh.
According to BSF and police sources, Giri went missing in January this year. A missing complaint was lodged at the local police station on behalf of his family.
For a long time, the police and family members searched in different places but could not find him. Finally, the border guards found him in the area adjacent to the Dhanirhat border post of Chopra police station in Uttar Dinajpur district. After questioning him, the BSF contacted his family.
The elderly returned home today with the help of Chopra police.
