Siliguri, 21st June: Bright Academy, Punjabi Para, organized a grand felicitation program on June 21st to honour the students of the Kaizen Karate-Do Association who secured remarkable victories in the 7th AGKF Karate Championship held in Kathmandu, Nepal from June 16th to June 17th.
The event commenced with a warm welcome speech delivered by the esteemed director of Bright Academy, Ratan Lal Jain. Distinguished guests including Manik Dey, MMIC (Conservancy SWM & Honorable Councillor of Ward No. 13, Siliguri), Dilip Barman, MMIC (Sports, Trade License, Housing for All & Honorable Councillor of Ward No. 46, Siliguri), and Sanjay Tibrewal (Past Chairman, CII) were invited to the felicitation function.
The guests, along with Debashish Dhali, the owner of Kaizen Karate-Do Association, and the Karate coach, were honoured and felicitated by the school staff. Following the felicitation, each guest delivered an inspiring speech, commending the students for their achievements and emphasizing the significance of sports in overall development.
The winners, Reshmi Barman, who secured a silver medal in the junior girls Kata category, Tanuska Biswas, who clinched two bronze medals in the junior girls Kata and Kumite category, and Dhiraj Thakur, who won a bronze medal in the junior boys Kumite category, were presented with a “khada”, mementos, and gifts as tokens of appreciation by the esteemed guests.
The felicitation program concluded with a vote of thanks from Principal, Sandeep Ghosal. Expressing his delight, Ghosal said, “We are thrilled with the level of participation and enthusiasm we received from the students. We are proud to recognize these talented young people for their hard work and dedication.”
