Rajganj, 10th December: A brazen burglary took place in Kamatpara under Binnaguri Gram Panchayat in Rajganj block on Tuesday night, leaving residents shocked. Thieves took advantage of the house being empty and escaped with valuables.
According to reports, Sadhan Pal and his wife had gone out for work as usual. When they returned home in the evening, they found furniture and household items scattered inside the house. The accused reportedly broke the house’s boundary and stole gold jewellery, a TV, a soundbox, and around ₹20,000 in cash.
Homeowner Jayanti Pal said she works as a domestic helper while her husband is employed as a security guard. “Our livelihood depends on these jobs. The thieves took away our savings and belongings,” she said.
A written complaint has been filed at the Bhorer Alo police station, and the authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.
