Cooch Behar, 11th September: A rally was organized by the BJP in Sitalkuchi to make the ‘Nabanna Chalo Abhiyan’ to be held on 13th September a success. BJP has alleged TMC being behind the bomb blast incident that took place today during the rally. After the incident, a police force was called for to bring the situation under control.
Cooch Behar District BJP President Sukumar Roy said that the rally was progressing peacefully. Then suddenly one bomb after another started detonating injuring some of his party workers. He further claimed bombs were hurled at the rally by TMC people. At the same time, Sukumar Roy also accused the police of lathi-charging BJP workers.
Sitalkuchi Block Trinamool Congress President Tapan Kumar Guha has denied the allegations of the said attack. He alleged that the BJP was trying to create unrest by bringing in people from outside.
