Dhupguri, 06th March: Sensation spread in Dhupguri after a body was recovered from a closed traffic booth near the Kumlai bridge area on Friday morning.
According to sources, the traffic police booth had been lying unused for a long time. Local residents noticed a body inside the abandoned booth and immediately informed the police.
Following the information, the Dhupguri Traffic OC along with other police personnel reached the spot and recovered the body.
Local sources said the deceased was believed to be a vagrant who was often seen roaming in nearby areas. However, questions have arisen over how the body ended up inside the closed traffic booth.
The body has been sent for post-mortem examination, and police have started an investigation into the incident.
