Naxalbari, 03rd October: Sensation prevailed in the area after the body of a young man was found at the Chenga River of Kadma village adjacent to the Belgachi tea estate in Naxalbari. The deceased has been identified as Sagar Nageshia.
According to reports, locals spotted the body in the river and informed the Naxalbari police. Upon being alerted, the police arrived at the location, recovered the deceased body, and transported it to the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH) for a post-mortem examination.
Amid the investigation, the deceased’s family suspected that Sagar was allegedly murdered. Additionally, investigations revealed that the body was allegedly unclothed and bore several marks of injuries on the eyes and face. Based on suspicions, the family members decided to register a complaint at the Naxalbari police station regarding the entire incident.
