Jalpaiguri, 10th April: A wave of shock spread in Jalpaiguri city after the blood-soaked body of a young man was recovered from a house in Amarakhana area under Nagar Berubari Gram Panchayat. The deceased has been identified as Kamalesh Roy, locally known as ‘Laden’.
According to information, Kamalesh Roy used to live with his parents at the same residence. On Friday morning, family members found him lying dead inside a room in a pool of blood.
Preliminary suspicion suggests that the youth may have been attacked on the head while he was asleep, leading to his death. Following the incident, police from Manikganj Outpost under Jalpaiguri Kotwali Police Station reached the spot and recovered the body.
The body has been sent for post-mortem examination to Jalpaiguri Medical College and Hospital. Police have initiated an investigation to determine the exact cause and circumstances behind the incident.
