Siliguri, 29th July: In a tragic incident, the lifeless body of a youth was found hanging from the noose in the South Bharat Nagar area under Ward No. 24 of Siliguri. The deceased has been identified as Sadhan Das.
According to reports, Sadhan had committed suicide by hanging himself from a towel in his washroom. The incident led to a widespread commotion in the entire area. Meanwhile, the news was immediately informed to the Siliguri police station.
The police officials arrived at the scene, recovered the body, and transferred it to the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH) for a post-mortem examination. The entire incident is under further investigation.
On the other hand, Rajiv Das, the deceased youth’s grandfather claimed that the youth was engaged in a romantic relationship with a girl. However, the reason behind his taking the drastic step is yet to be ascertained.
