Rajganj, 24th September: The body of 31-year old Ashok Pandit who plunged into the Fulbari Teesta Canal on Monday has been recovered today from Fulbari Barrage. The Phansidewa police recovered the body and sent it to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital for autopsy.
It is to recall that Ashok and his mother went to the Teesta Canal area, when Ashok, who had been struggling with mental depression for the past several days, suddenly jumped into the canal water. NJP police reached the spot and jointly with the disaster management team initiated a search for the youth.
After 4 days, the body of the youth was recovered from Fulbari Barrage.
