Rajganj, 05th July: Sensation prevailed in the Ambari area following the discovery of the body of an e-rickshaw (toto) driver. The deceased, identified as Partha Chanda (35) from Post Office More in Ambari, had been missing for two days before his lifeless body was found in a nearby pond.
According to reports, Partha was the sole provider for his family, which includes his wife, child, and parents. On Monday, while driving his toto in Ambari, he accidentally collided with a woman. Fearing confrontation, Partha hastily left the scene, abandoning his vehicle. Subsequently, he went missing.
On Tuesday, Partha’s family filed a missing person report at the Ambari Police Outpost. The following morning, local residents discovered Partha’s body in a pond near Ambari Anchal More. The police, accompanied by family members, promptly arrived at the location. The body was later retrieved and sent to the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH) for post-mortem examination. Currently, the police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
