Siliguri, 30th November: A mysterious death of an unidentified man surfaced from Siliguri’s Rabindra Nagar area.
This morning, locals sighted the dead body lying in front of a residence and reported the matter to Siliguri police. The police reached the spot shortly after and recovered the body. A bicycle and a shopping bag were recovered from the spot. However, the deceased has not yet been identified.
According to police sources, the man had deep bruises on the back of his head and a bunch of hair was spotted on his right hand. Preliminary investigations suggest he might have been killed with a sharp weapon.
Police have collected the blood and hair samples from the scene. Attempts are being made to find out his identity. Police officials have also started collecting the CCTV footage of the area to carry out further investigation.
