Jaigaon, 05th December: After four days, the body of Traffic ASI Ratan Kar of Jaigaon Police Station was recovered on Sunday morning.
It has been learned that Kar’s body was recovered from the bush along the Asian Highway in front of Hasimara Beach Tea Garden, on Sunday morning. Alipurduar Police Superintendent Bholanath Pandey reached the spot, recovered the body, and sent it for an autopsy. Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
Incidentally, ASI Ratan Kar left the Hasimara police checkpoint from Jaigaon police station around 12 noon on Wednesday. He reached Dalsingpara on his motorcycle. Since then no trace of him has been found.
The body was recovered this morning.
