Phansidewa, 06th April: Stir ensued after the body of an elderly woman was found hanging from the noose in Guabari under Phansidewa. The deceased has been identified as Chapla Poddar (65).
Reportedly, on Thursday morning, the family members found the elderly woman hanging inside the house. While she was rushed to Phansidewa Rural Hospital, the doctors declared her brought dead.
However, on the other hand, as soon as the incident was reported, the Phansidewa police reached the spot and took the dead body into custody and sent it to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital for a postmortem. The police have started investigating the entire incident.
