Rajganj, 17th May: Sensation prevailed in the area after the body of a young man was recovered from the Karatoya River in Rajganj. The deceased, identified as Sanjit Oraon (25), worked as a laborer in a tea garden at Bairagipara under Sukhani Gram Panchayat of Rajganj.
According to reports, Sanjit left his house on Thursday morning with a bicycle and did not return. His body was discovered in the Karatoya River late in the evening. Preliminary assumptions suggest that an incident may have occurred while he was bathing in the river.
On Friday, the body was sent to Jalpaiguri Sadar Hospital for a post-mortem examination. Police are investigating the entire incident to determine the exact circumstances surrounding his death.
