Siliguri, 15th September: Sensation prevailed in the area after the body of a worker was found hanging from a noose in the three-storey office of the Siliguri Mahakuma Parishad building.
According to police sources, the deceased has been identified as Subrata Sarkar. He worked as District Program Co-ordinator of Sarva Shiksha Mission for many years. Meanwhile, Subrata’s family members are sceptical of his drastic step. Police also recovered a suicide note from the spot.
As per sources, Subrata arrived at his office early morning. Later, when the sweepers were cleaning the premises, they found Subrata’s body hanging from the noose inside the office. On the other hand, as soon as the information about the incident was received, the police reached the spot and recovered the body and sent it for post-mortem. Police are probing the entire incident.
