Siliguri, 18th November: Sensation prevailed after the body of a newborn baby was recovered from the Mahananda river.
According to local sources, some women in the area sighted the body of the newborn floating in the Mahananda river and immediately reported the matter to the police.
Upon receiving the news, the police reached the spot, recovered the body, and sent it to North Bengal Medical College and hospital for an autopsy.
