Body of a 75-year old recovered in Rajganj

Rajganj, 25th March: Sensation prevailed after the body of an elderly man was recovered under the shed of Market Complex in Shikarpur Haat, Belakoba on Wednesday morning. The deceased has been identified as Keshav Saha (75).
According to local sources, the deceased lived with his son in the government shed of Shikarpur Haat and was sick for the past few days. Saha was spotted walking in the locality today morning and later his body was found hanging from a noose in the said area.
Amidst the Coronavirus outbreak, the incident created tension in the area. Upon receiving the news, the Belakoba checkpost police reached the spot, recovered the body and sent it to the Jalpaiguri District Hospital for an autopsy. The police have launched an investigation into the incident.
