Siliguri, 18th February: In yet another distressing incident, the lifeless body of an individual was found in Ghogomali’s Niranjan Nagar Pipe Line area under Ward No. 36 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation. The deceased has been identified as Ram Bhowmik (28).
As stated by the deceased’s family, Ram had returned home from work and slept after having his meal like every other day. On Sunday morning, the family members received no response from the individual and became suspicious. Subsequently, upon peeking from the window they found his deceased body hanging from the noose.
Meanwhile, upon receiving the news, the cops of Ashighar Outpost arrived at the spot, recovered the body of the deceased, and transported it for a post-mortem examination. Currently, the police are engaged in further investigation.
