Kharibari, 10th March: In a shocking turn of events, the lifeless bodies of two minors were found in the Rambhola Jote area of Tukriajhar forest in Buraganj. The deceased has been identified as Dev Singh (16) and Sulekha Singh (16), both residents of the Dhulia Jote area of Buraganj.
According to local reports, the tragedy came to light on Sunday when the locals ventured into the fields to attend to their cattle. During this, they stumbled upon the sight of the two minors hanging from a noose beneath the elephant watchtower.
Upon receiving the news, the officials of Kharibari police station arrived at the spot, recovered the bodies, and transported them to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital for a post-mortem examination while further investigation is underway.
In this regard, the family members of both the deceased were grappling with shock and sorrow as they believed the two minors were like siblings. However, the reason for the death is yet to be ascertained.
