Siliguri, 25th February: Sensation prevailed after a young couple was found hanging from the noose near the Balasan River in Siliguri. The deceased are the residents of the Mathabhanga Golokganj area.
As per the report, the duo eloped and was staying at the deceased youth’s elder sister’s house in Shiv Mandir. Allegedly, they went missing last night and a missing diary was also lodged by the girl’s family in Mathabhanga.
Following this, the couple’s bodies were found hanging near a crematorium in the adjoining areas of Matigara’s Patharghata on Thursday morning. Upon receiving the news, the Matigara police reached the spot shortly after.
The elder brother of the deceased youth said that the duo was in a love affair for a long time.
