Siliguri, 13th October: Ahead of the Durga Puja, boating services have commenced at Surya Sen Park in Siliguri, making the local residents elated. Siliguri Mayor Goutam Deb inaugurated the boating service at Surya Sen Park. The event witnessed the presence of Deputy Mayor Ranjan Sarkar, Ward Councillor Kamal Agarwal, and others.
According to reports, due to various reasons, the boating service was not functional for eight years. The Siliguri Municipal Corporation undertook the initiative to re-introduce the boating service ahead of the Durga Puja. In addition, colorful fishes were also released in the park’s reservoir.
