Rajganj, 09th September: On the occasion of the 83rd Tirodhan Divas of Panchanan Barma, a blood donation camp was organized in Rajganj’s Santosh Para under Sannyasikata Gram Panchayat, on Wednesday.
Reportedly, the initiative was taken on behalf of the Radhagobinda Mandir Committee with the assistance of the Siliguri Rotary Blood Bank.
The organizers stated that a shortage of blood is being witnessed in the hospitals amid the ongoing pandemic. Hence, such an initiative has been taken to encourage blood donation in rural areas.
Apart from this, garments were distributed among 60 people. The collected blood will be sent to the Siliguri Rotary Blood Bank.
Radhagobinda Temple Committee member Nagendranath Roy, Fulbari No-2 Gram Panchayat Pradhan Dilip Roy, Sannyasikata Anchal convener Mokshed Alam and many others were present during the camp.
