Siliguri, 18th July: A blood donation camp was organized at ISKCON in Siliguri on the occasion of the 125th birth anniversary of Abhay Charanaravinda Bhaktivedanta Swami (Srila Prabhupada). The camp commenced by lighting a lamp to pay homage to Swami Prabhupada.
As per the information, the blood donation camp was organized under the aegis of ISKCON temple in Siliguri and in collaboration with the Rotary Club. A target has been set to collect 100 units of blood in the camp.
In this context, Public Relations Officer of ISKCON, Nam Krishna Das said that the saints of ISKCON donated their blood in the said camp. He also conveyed the message of donating blood to stay healthy and help the ones in need. On the occasion, Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Darjeeling Range Amit P Javalgi was present as the chief guest. Apart from him, members of ISKCON and Rotary Club were also present.
