Blood donation camp organised at Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple in Mallaguri, Siliguri

Siliguri, 13th January: A blood donation camp was organised at the premises of the Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple in Mallaguri by the temple management committee, blending religious devotion with social responsibility. Continuing its annual tradition, the committee once again hosted the camp this year, witnessing enthusiastic participation from devotees and local residents.


A total of 125 units of blood were collected during the camp, which will be handed over to a blood bank for use in life-saving treatment of patients in need. Members of the temple committee and volunteers played a key role in ensuring the smooth conduct of the programme.

Siliguri Mayor Gautam Deb was present at the event and encouraged the blood donors. He lauded the initiative of the temple management committee, stating that such programmes convey a positive message to society and play a vital role in supporting those in need.


Anil Yadav, president of the Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple management committee, said that the blood donation camp is organised every year to help address blood shortages and save as many lives as possible.
