Rajganj, 02nd April: A blood donation camp was organized by Rajganj Welfare Organization in collaboration with Siliguri Voluntary Blood Donation Forum to save the lives of children suffering from Thalassemia and to tackle the blood crisis in the city, on Friday.
In this context, Ranjit Kumar Mandal, Secretary of Rajganj Welfare Organization stated that the entire state is facing a severe shortage of blood. He added that there is insufficient blood for patients and children who are suffering from Thalassemia or the ones who undergo surgery. In view of this, a blood donation camp has been organized on behalf of the institution. Mandal further said that they have set a goal to collect about 50 units of blood in the camp.
