Siliguri, 18th June: A woman infected with black fungus escaped from the ENT ward North Bengal Medical College and Hospital, on Thursday night. Following which, the matter was reported to the medical outpost on behalf of the hospital authorities.
As per the report, the said woman was admitted to NBMCH two days ago. She tested positive for black fungus yesterday. It has been learned that the woman is a resident of Murshidabad. The hospital authorities are also trying to reach her on the mobile number that was provided during the time of hospitalization.
Doctors at the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital said that if not treated, the woman’s physical condition may deteriorate as she needs surgery.
