BJP’s 12-hour Bengal Bandh: Trinamool-BJP clash over closure of shop in Kharibari’s Panitanki

Kharibari, 28th April: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has called for a 12-hour bandh in Bengal today, as announced by BJP Raiganj MP Debashree Chowdhury on Thursday. The bandh has been called in North Bengal protesting the killing of party worker in Kaliaganj.

However, tension arose at Kharibari’s Panitanki following a tussle between the Trinamool Congress (TMC) and BJP over the strike. Reportedly, the tension escalated after a Trinamool worker closed his shop, leading to a scuffle between the two parties. The Kharibari police reached the spot upon receiving the information, and the matter was resolved by pacifying both parties in the presence of the police.
