BJP’s 12-hour Bengal Bandh: NBSTC bus blocked in Alipurduar, 2 party workers arrested

Alipurduar, 28th August: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has initiated a 12-hour statewide bandh on Wednesday, leading to widespread protests.


In Alipurduar, BJP workers and supporters took to the streets, aiming to enforce the bandh.

A notable incident occurred when a group of BJP workers blocked a North Bengal State Transport Corporation (NBSTC) bus traveling from Siliguri to Dhubri. The blockade took place at Alipurduar More, where party members halted the government vehicle in the presence of law enforcement.


The situation escalated as BJP workers engaged in a heated argument with the police. As tensions rose, the police intervened and arrested two BJP workers involved in the protest.
