Siliguri, 11th February: The Matigara Mandal Committee of the BJP Yuva Morcha’s Siliguri Organizational District staged a demonstration today, protesting against the death of a minor in the Kholai Baktari area under Matigara police station.
The organization members staged a protest in front of the Matigara Police Station and then blocked the road across the Matigara market. Immediate arrest of the culprits has been demanded.
It was reported that the deceased went missing from her home on February 5. It has been alleged that the police refused to take any complaint after the incident. Then, on February 7, the girl’s dead body was recovered from the banks of the Mahananda river in Noukaghat.
