Siliguri, 16th December: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has launched a new programme called ‘Chairman Saheb Dekhun’ for the citizens of Siliguri. Through this, the problems of the general public will be presented to the SMC administrator. The service will be provided only on Fridays twice a month.
Siliguri MLA Shankar Ghosh made this announcement during a press conference on Thursday. Many BJP leaders including Dabgram-Fulbari MLA Shikha Chatterjee were present at the conference. Shankar Ghosh said that he warmly welcomes the ‘Talk to Chairman’ programme launched by SMC. Likewise, BJP is starting the “Chairman Saheb Dekhun” programme to facilitate Siliguri Municipal Corporation to do its work. He said that the citizens of Siliguri can send video recordings stating their problems through the WhatsApp number of ‘Chairman Saheb Dekhun’. Following which, the video will be forwarded to SMC administrator Goutam Deb. In the first phase, this programme will run for two days a month.
