Rajganj, 18th June: In a significant blow to the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP), 70 families living in Rajganj joined Trinamool Congress (TMC), ahead of the Panchayat Elections 2023. The declaration was made during a gathering today, in Balaigach village of Majhiyali Gram Panchayat under Rajganj Block.
According to reports, the workers and supporters of BJP among those families extensively joined the opposition party TMC in the presence of Arindam Banerjee, President of TMC, Rajganj Block and other members of the party.
In response to the move, TMC President Arindam Banerjee, claimed that the families have joined through getting inspired by the Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s development programs and TMC General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee’s “Navjoyar Yatra”. He further expressed his delight of increase in power ahead of the Panchayat polls.
