Siliguri, 23rd August: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) organized a large-scale protest in Siliguri on Friday with a slogan ‘Police tumi chinta koro, tomar meye hochche boro’ in response to the R.G. Kar incident.
The protest is part of a broader movement that has sparked widespread anger across the country, with demands for justice resulting in demonstrations in several regions.
As part of the state-wide agitation, the BJP held a police station siege campaign in Siliguri, with Bhakti Nagar police station surrounded by party workers and supporters. The protestors criticized the police for their alleged inaction in the R.G. Kar case, demanding immediate justice for the victim.
The BJP has intensified its campaign across the state, with today’s protest focusing on holding law enforcement accountable for the incident at Kolkata’s R.G. Kar Medical College and Hospital.
