BJP stages protest in Siliguri against Chief Minister’s ‘community’ remark

Siliguri, 11th March: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) staged a protest in Siliguri on Wednesday against a recent remark made by the Chief Minister regarding a “community”.


The protest programme was organised at Hashmi Chowk, where BJP workers and supporters gathered holding party flags and placards. The protesters also wore black cloth around their necks while raising slogans against the remark and expressing their anger against the state government.

Siliguri MLA Shankar Ghosh, along with several BJP leaders, workers and supporters, was present during the demonstration.


During the protest, BJP leaders demanded that the Chief Minister issue an immediate apology for the remark, failing which she should step down from her post.
