Fulbari, 24th December: BJP workers and supporters staged a protest at the India-Bangladesh border in Fulbari following the killing of Hindu man Dipu Das in Bangladesh. The demonstration took place at the Fulbari immigration check post near Siliguri, where protesters raised the national flag and blocked trucks arriving from Bangladesh.
During the protest, several BJP workers climbed onto some of the trucks to express their dissent and chanted slogans, warning that attacks on Hindus must stop or the agitation would intensify. The protest continued for several hours.
The demonstration was led by Dabgram-Fulbari MLA Sikha Chatterjee, along with Block President Rahul Barman, Bapi Pal, Rajiv Saha, Preeti Barman, and other party leaders.
