BJP stages protest at Bagdogra police station over R.G. Kar incident, demands CM’s resignation

Bagdogra, 23rd August: The Bagdogra Mandal of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) organized a protest on Friday at Bagdogra police station, demanding the resignation of the Chief Minister (CM) in connection with the R.G. Kar incident.


Led by BJP District General Secretary Lakshmi Sharma, party workers marched in a procession to the police station. Upon arrival, the protestors staged a sit-in outside the station, chanting slogans calling for the Chief Minister’s resignation.

BJP leaders, including Sajalkanti Sarkar, Mandal President Shisnu Oraon, and Siddharth Gurung, were present at the protest. The demonstration was part of a broader campaign by the BJP in response to the rape and murder at Kolkata’s R.G. Kar Medical College and Hospital.
