Siliguri, 04th September: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) staged a ‘dharna’ in front of the Siliguri Municipal Corporation (SMC) on Wednesday, protesting against the R.G. Kar case.
Reports indicate that BJP leaders and workers are holding sit-in protests not only at the SMC but also at various other locations, including the offices of the Block Development Officers (BDOs) in Matigara, Naxalbari, Phansidewa, and Kharibari.
The protest witnessed the participation of Arun Mandal, President of BJP’s Siliguri Organizational District, Siliguri MLA Shankar Ghosh and other BJP officials.
