Siliguri, 06th September: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) intensified its ongoing protests against the R.G. Kar incident with a statewide ‘Chakka Jam’ campaign on Friday, including a significant demonstration in Siliguri.
Reportedly, under the leadership of BJP Siliguri Organizational District President Arun Mandal, party workers and supporters gathered at Darjeeling More, blocking the road for two hours as part of their protest.
The demonstrators raised slogans during the roadblock, expressing their anger over the incident. In response to the traffic disruption, local police diverted routes around Darjeeling More to manage the jam and ensure smooth traffic flow in the area.
