Siliguri, 16th August: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has organized road blockades across the state in protest against the R.G. Kar Medical College and Hospital incident, with significant demonstrations taking place in Siliguri.
On Friday, BJP leaders and workers blocked the road at Hashmi Chowk (Venus More) in Siliguri. The protest was attended by Siliguri MLA Shankar Ghosh, Siliguri Organizational District President Arun Mandal, and other BJP officials. The demonstrators called for the resignation of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in response to the incident at R.G. Kar Hospital.
