Darjeeling, 25th October: Darjeeling BJP MP Raju Bista criticized the West Bengal government under Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in a press release for failing to ensure the safety of women across the state. He also held the state responsible for the persistent exploitation of tea workers across Dooars.
According to reports, MP Raju Bista held a meeting on Friday with prominent BJP party leaders and local officials at the Madarihat party office. The meeting included prominent local leaders such as Alipurduar MP Manoj Tigga and Dabgram-Fulbari MLA Shika Chatterjee.
During the meeting, Bista mentioned that criminals have become stronger due to the state’s ruling party, imposing threat to women’s safety. Additionally, he emphasized the prolonged struggles of tea garden workers in Dooars, accusing the TMC of allowing their exploitation to continue.
He further highlighted the BJP’s commitment to improving public rights through the central government’s new Labour Codes, aimed at providing better wages and working conditions.
