BJP MLA Sikha Chatterjee took to the street in support of ‘12-hour bandh’ in Siliguri

Siliguri, 28th August: The BJP has called for a 12-hour strike across the state on Wednesday. In support of the strike, BJP workers have been taking to the streets since morning to enforce the shutdown of shops and petrol pumps.

On this day, Dabgram-Fulbari BJP MLA Sikha Chatterjee actively participated in the strike by moving through various areas, shutting down shops, banks, and even a petrol pump belonging to a local TMC leader near the Eastern Bypass. The BJP workers have been reportedly forcing the closure of businesses.

In response, TMC workers have also taken to the streets, raising counter-slogans and working to keep public life operational. While BJP workers are demonstrating in support of the strike, the TMC workers are urging shopkeepers and businesses to remain open despite the ongoing strike.
