Siliguri, 16th August: BJP MLA Shankar Ghosh led a sit-in protest in Siliguri on Friday, demanding the resignation of the Chief Minister following the recent incident at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital. The protest, organized near Mahatma Gandhi More (Air View), saw participation from BJP leadership and party councillors.
In his address, Ghosh cited not only the RG Kar incident but also the rising number of rape cases across the state as reasons for the Chief Minister’s immediate resignation.
