Cooch Behar, 12th August: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Nikhil Ranjan Dey, accompanied by party supporters, made a visit to the Cooch Behar Head Post Office to participate in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign. As a symbolic gesture of this campaign, they collected national flags.
According to reports, all sub-divisional post offices and Head Post Offices, including those in the Cooch Behar district, will be selling the national flag for Rs 25 until August 15. The ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign has been initiated by the central government to commemorate the 77th anniversary of India’s independence. On Saturday, Nikhil Ranjan Dey and others obtained the national flag from the Cooch Behar Head Post Office.
In response to the campaign, Nikhil Ranjan Dey, the MLA of Cooch Behar Dakshin Assembly, highlighted that their participation was aligned with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s message. He also urged everyone to obtain the national flag and proudly hoist it at their residences on August 15, thus displaying a united spirit of patriotism.
