Phansidewa, 03rd April: A BJP Mandal ‘Saha-Sabhapati’ expressed dissatisfaction before MP Raju Bista during a campaign at Bijlimoni Tea Garden in Phansidewa, triggering a political controversy.
According to sources, party leader Santosh Kumar Jha raised concerns over the role of the local MLA, alleging lack of work and absence from the area. He appealed to the MP to look into the issues of tea garden workers and claimed that even during accidents, no assistance was received from the MLA.
Responding to the incident, BJP candidate Durga Murmu dismissed the criticism, stating that the individual has mental issues. He added that many people fail to understand the development work carried out by an MLA.
Meanwhile, Trinamool Congress coordinator Kajal Ghosh took a dig at the BJP, stating that such reactions were expected. He claimed that several BJP leaders are in touch with his party and added that Trinamool remains connected with people throughout the year.
The incident has triggered political reactions in the region.
