Siliguri, 30th March: The Bharatiya Janata (BJP) Mahila Morcha took to the streets by creating a human chain to protest violence against women in the state.
Reportedly, the Mahila Morcha staged a demonstration at Siliguri’s Hasmi Chowk against the death of Shobharani Majumdar, a resident of Nimta of North Dum Dum assembly constituency.
BJP has alleged that miscreants of Trinamool Congress (TMC) attacked BJP worker Gopal Majumdar and his 85-year-old mother Shobharani Majumdar. The elderly woman, unfortunately, died while undergoing treatment in the hospital, on Monday.
