Siliguri, 26th April: BJP leader Shankar Ghosh inspected the Primary health centre Matri Sadan in Ward No. 23 on Monday, where he interacted with the health workers.
Shankar Ghosh said that the administration should take all required initiatives to contain the virus from spreading. Acquisition of private hospitals, the opening of safe houses, ensuring proper supply of life-saving medicines including oxygen, development of medical college health infrastructure, strengthening of helplines, ensuring people do not step out of the houses during home isolation should be looked into, he added.
Ghosh said that those who are taking the COVID-19 test are not following the protocols due to delays in receiving test reports. He added that the administrative decision to bring the situation under control is being delayed. Apart from raising awareness among the citizens, he gave a message to various voluntary organizations, different political parties, and clubs to take initiative in the fight against the pandemic
