BJP leader Roopa Ganguly takes jibe on TMC in Jalpaiguri

Jalpaiguri, 18th November: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Roopa Ganguly, during a programme in Jalpaiguri, took a jibe at state’s ruling party Trinamool Congress (TMC) accusing the police administration of conspiring to close her case without arresting anyone.


It is to recall, the BJP leader was attacked allegedly by TMC workers while she was visiting the Jalpaiguri district before the polls. Ganguly’s convoy was also stopped midway and the goons began pelting stones at her. Her car was also vandalized.

The BJP leader, on Tuesday, once again visited the district to attend a garments distribution programme at the Chaitali Club in Jalpaiguri’s Madrasa Maidan, where garments were distributed among 500 needy people. She was accompanied by Jalpaiguri MP Dr Jayanta Roy, renowned doctor Kamlesh Biswas, Debangshu Das and many others.


Accusing the police administration of conspiring to close the case without taking any appropriate action, Ganguly stated that she has come to Jalpaiguri to reopen the case. She further claimed that the people of West Bengal have decided to bring BJP to power in 2021.
