Siliguri, 22nd March: Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) candidate Shankar Ghosh is not just eyeing the Siliguri assembly seat but also the city’s Municipal Corporation.
During electioneering at city’s Regulated Market under Ward No. 46 on Monday, Ghosh sought support from the people to help BJP form a board in Siliguri Municipal Corporation.
He further maintained that the election for the SMC will commence soon after the assembly polls. Hence, having BJP in the centre, state and Siliguri Municipal Corporation will be very beneficial for the development of the city.
Later in the day, the BJP candidate visited the party’s Booth No. 20 and 22 and interacted with the people.
