Alipurduar, 22nd March: Bharatiya Janata party (BJP) candidate Manoj Tigga and Trinamool Congress (TMC) candidate Prakash Chik Baraik met during filing of nominations in Alipurduar. It is to be noted that election campaigns are being held by several parties after the announcement of the dates for Lok Sabha polls. Simultaneously, nominations are also being filed.
Reportedly, on Friday, BJP candidate Manoj Tigga and TMC candidate Prakash Chik Baraik arrived at Dooars Kanya in Alipurduar to submit nomination papers. During this, the candidates held a courtesy meet.
In this regard, BJP candidate Manoj Tigga stated that it is possible to maintain people-to-people relations. On the other hand, TMC candidate Prakash Chik Baraik stated that both of them have arrived to submit their nomination papers. He added that they belong to the same district.
